No NHL? No Problem! El Paso Rhinos Back in Action [VIDEO]
The NHL may still be locked out, but there is action on the ice — and in El Paso, too. The El Paso Rhinos returned home last weekend, sweeping the Arizona Redhawks in a three-game series.
I don’t know how head coach Cory Herman finds some of these guys, but check out some of the action from Sunday’s 12-4 Rhinos’ win that secured a series sweep and first place in their conference. Specifically, check out the Czech — 6-8 defenseman Matey Steigauf! Steigauf blasted in a top-shelf goal against the Redhawks in the third period.
The Rhinos hit the road for the next couple of weekends but will return home to play the Wednesday before and the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. And listen in to 600 ESPN El Paso because we’ll have selected Rhinos’ road games on the air, too!
