Top Fuel driver Larry Dixon is lucky to be alive after his dragster went out of control, flew airborne, and crashed near the finish line last Saturday night. He was attempting to qualify at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida. Despite his car being split in half, Dixon was checked out by NHRA emergency service officials and walked away from the accident unharmed. For some reason, watching this video reminded me of Emilio Estevez's spectacular crash scene in Freejack. The only difference is that Dixon did not need a time machine to save his life.
