NBA All Star Game 2013 Recap: Chris Paul Leads West Over East, 143-138

Chris Paul of the L.A. Clippers scored 20 points and dished out 15 assists, as the Western Conference beat the East, 143-138, in the NBA All-Star Game in Houston on Sunday night. The Thunder’s Kevin Durant added 30 points, and Kobe Bryant of the Lakers blocked Miami’s LeBron James twice in the final minutes to help seal the win. Paul was named the game’s MVP in a ceremony following his team’s victory.
Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks led the East with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while the Heat’s Dwyane Wade tallied 21 points. James finished with 19 points on 7-of-18 shooting. Paul’s L.A. teammate Blake Griffin finished with 19 points for the West.
