John Daly was attempting to make the cut at the PGA Championship before disaster struck at the par three seventh hole. Daly pulled three consecutive tee shots to the right and into Lake Michigan. After taking his fourth drop, he finally pulled a shot to the left and then decided to heave his iron into Lake Michigan. When it was all over, Daly carded a 10 on the seventh hole and his chances of playing the weekend at Whistling Straits went into the water with his club.

The good news is that the iron was pulled out of the water by a youngster on a speed boat. He lifted the club over his head like a trophy celebration. No word if he was able to get the golf club signed by Daly.
