How To Start A Twitter Flame War: Rompza’s Rant Sparks Social Media Storm [LINK]

When former Miner Myron Strong lit into the UTEP program on his Facebook after being dismissed by then-new Miners’ coach Tim Floyd, I wrote a column on the power of social media to turn a spark into a flame faster than a 10-year drought and a pile of pine needles.

Here’s Exhibit Two, courtesy of Storify.com and Chuck McGill. UCF is in Huntington, WV, for the Knights’ Conference USA game against the Marshall Thundering Herd. UCF guard A.J. Rompza went on a Twitter rampage, dissing the hotel in Huntington, and his teammates followed suit.

And, yes, they played the hillbilly card.
