It wasn't a clean sweep, but Sunday's 7-0 shutout over the Phoenix Knights gave the El Paso Rhinos a lift as they charge into their series with the New Mexico Renegades to finish the regular season this weekend. We'll have the action on 600 ESPN El Paso.

The Rhinos won the series with the Knights, 2-1, but Phoenix picked up an important two points with a 6-4 win Saturday that puts them three points ahead of the Renegades in the Mountain Conference standings.

What does that mean? Unless New Mexico wins two-of-three against El Paso, it means the Rhinos will see Phoenix back in El Paso two weekends from now in the best-of-three Mountain Conference semifinals to start the Thorne Cup Playoffs.
