Head coach Cory Herman also announced that the Rhinos will continue to play next season in the Tier 2 Western States Hockey League as a feeder to their Tier 1 club in the CHL. "In the near future, you will see potential NHL draft picks and Division 1 prospects playing in this league," Herman told 600 ESPN El Paso. "As far as 17-20 year old hockey players go, this is the cream of the crop. The best of the best will playing in this league, and we are excited about bringing this level of competition to El Paso."

The 2016-17 season begins next month and the team's first homestand is October 28-30 against the Dallas Snipers. All single game tickets can be purchased online or at any Ticketmaster location. Tickets purchased at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office and the Hospitals of Providence Events Center Box Office do not have Ticketmaster fees.
