There are some things in life that just belong together. Vin Scully and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball is like peanut butter and jelly. You cannot have one without the other.

Last night, Magic Johnson and Jimmy Kimmel announced to the crowd at Dodger Stadium that Scully would return for his 67th season with the team. Los Angeles celebrated the news with a 14 strikeout performance by Clayton Kershaw and a 4-1 win over the Chicago Cubs. The 87-year old broadcaster began with the team in 1950 when they were playing in Brooklyn. Since then, he has called 25 World Series, three perfect games, 19 no-hitters, and 12 All Star Games. Baseball just wouldn't be the national pastime without Vin Scully.
