Dan Majerle Catches a Ground Rule Double
May 14, 2012 12:36 PM Former NBA gunner ‘Thunder’ Dan Majerle was taking in a Diamondbacks game on Saturday night from the comfortable confines of the Chase Field pool. Majerle was enjoying a plate of food when Arizona’s Gerardo Parra clubbed a ground rule double that one hopped the fence in right-center field.
Showing the hand-eye coordination one would expect of a former professional athlete, Majerle snagged the ball before it could make a second hop. Majerle later told a reporter that he was as surprised as anyone that he snagged the ball.
