Boston Mayor Mistakes KG and Rondo for KJ and Hondo

Now that the Celtics are on the brink of their third NBA Finals appearance in five seasons, the Boston media thought it would be wise to get a soundbite from mayor Thomas Menino.  Politicians are among the best ‘bs’ artists on the planet, but Menino really showed his ignorance when he referred to Kevin Garnett as ‘KJ’ and Rajon Rando as ‘Hondo’  If Kevin Johnson and John Havlicek were on the team it would have made perfect sense, but they’re not, so he sounds like a fool.

I’ll give the master of malapropism this, it seems like he knows Rondo is the team leader, even if he called him a guy who hasn’t suited up for the C’s in over 30 years!
