Nobody ever said that soccer is an easy sport to referee, especially in Europe where anything goes. Take this incident at a recent second division match in Argentina between Ferro and Tiro Federal. When referee Arnaldo Beron held out a yellow card, Alejandro Roncaglia decided to deliver a left hook to the ref's jaw. Beron never had a chance and was dropped like a scene reminiscent in Mike Tyson's Punch Out. Unlike the United States where the player would be banned for life and probably thrown in jail for knocking out an official, Roncaglia will probably be back on the field soon. The match was abandoned as Beron was taken to the hospital. Disgraceful? Yes. But, that is the way they play futbol in Europe.
