As we all know trick or treating was a bust last year. But this year Halloween is coming up on this Sunday & it was announced by the CDC that trick or treating IS back in 2021. I even called The City of El Paso Health Department asking if there was a curfew or any restrictions in place this year. They stated that there IS no curfew in place this year, but they did suggest that if everyone DOES go trick or treating, to wear a mask.

So this year you can have your kids dress up & ask for candy again. But the question is... what is the best time you should go out, in hopes of getting the most/best candy?

I remember as a little kid going out to go trick or treating during nightfall: around 7,7:30pm. To me that felt like the best time because that's how it always looked in the movies; kids out & about getting candy from houses. But going online, on social media, the answer was not unanimous.

Going on the El Paso Reddit, some users said that kids start around 5:30-5:45, before the sun goes down. Another user says between 7-9p.

However, when I posed this question on Instagram: "What is the best time to go trick or treating?", I got a myriad of responses. So let's see a few:

Other responses I've gotten were "before sundown/sunset" & "dusk". It's also noted that every neighborhood IS different but the general consensus SEEMS to be between 5-7pm for the best results. Regardless on where I looked or asked online, almost every one says that once 9pm rolls around, that's the time to STOP giving out candy.

So if you are going trick or treating this year, or if you're handing out your candy, expect 5-7pm for the most people to be out & about for candy in El Paso.

SPOOKY GOOD: 2019 KLAQ Halloween Parade

For 2019, KLAQ's Halloween parade brought out Tony the Tiger to be the Grand Marshal. As for the Buzz Adams Morning Show, they dressed up and drove around as The Wizard of Oz but zombie style. Thank you to everyone who came out to the parade and make it a spooky good time.
