UTEP announced today that will be switching to a mobile ticketing system for the 2020-21 athletics season. "This will enable contactless entry into our facilities and present our fans with a seamless process of downloading tickets, storing them safely on their phones and, if desired, transferring them to fellow Miner fans," Director of Athletics Jim Senter said in the official release.

The school will use an online system to handle all season and individual game tickets. The new redesigned site is www.utepminers.com/tickets where fans can create their own account, log in, and then select the sports and events they want to manage. They will have the option to save their tickets to their phone or add them to their Apple Wallet if they use an iPhone. They will also be able to transfer tickets to another person. The new ticketing website will also accommodate parking passes for Miners fans.

UTEP has included an option for any fan that does not have a smart phone. In that case, they are encouraged to call the ticket office at (915) 747-8837 for assistance. The university expects their new mobile ticketing platform to be available in mid August. Security attendants will be scanning tickets on smartphones for all UTEP games. The athletic department provided a list of frequently asked questions for fans that might want more information on the new mobile ticketing platform.
