There is a debate raging in the desert as to who should be the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.  Despite the sentiment for El Paso's John Skelton, it appears to be Kevin Kolb's job to lose.

Arizona quietly finished 2011 as one of the hottest teams in the NFL.  The Cardinals overcame a 1-6 start to finish the season at 8-8.

A big part of the reason for Arizona's success was Burges graduate John Skelton.  Skelton went 6-2 as a starter and had two 300 yard games.  He did throw fourteen interceptions to only eleven touchdowns, but he's still very much a work in progress.

Adam Green covers the Cardinals for arizonasports.com.  Green is of the opinion that the quarterback battle in Phoenix will be lost rather than won.  Green weighed in on the qb battle and the team in general.
