Welcome to another edition of Deep Dish Sports with the Iceman Brandon Cohn.

Today's show includes a discussion on whether or not MLB pitchers should wear helmets to prevent head injuries.

We also discuss Alabama football and how four backup players were dismissed after they were arrested for second degree robbery and credit card fraud.

We also talk about how the 49ers have agreed to trade QB Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs.

We end the program with Fernie talking about how excited he is that the Jones brothers are going to play football for UTEP next season.  Fernie also talks about his best memories with the KLAQ Morning Show, including a time back in 2008 when he and the Iceman were dumb enough to participate in Rodeo Poker.

For those of you that don't know what Rodeo Poker is, here is the video of Fernie and I at the County Coliseum participating in this asinine event!

My special thanks to Fernando Cuevas from the KLAQ Morning Show.  If you would like to get ahold of Fernie you can email him at, fernie@klaq.com, or follow him on Twitter @klaqfernie.

If you would like to contact the Iceman you can email me at Bcohn@krod.com, follow me on Twitter @buddies1023, or friend me on Facebook at Brandon Cohn.  Don't forget to listen to the Iceman on Crunchtime every Saturday from 10-1pm.

"They need to wear the same protective equipment just like anybody else, just because they're a pitcher doesn't make them any different.  If they don't want to get injured then they probably should wear a helmet."
