Would it surprise you to know that contrary to local belief, El Paso drivers are not the worst. El Pasoans, in fact, are among the best in the nation, according to Quotewizard.

The study determined motorists in El Paso are the 11th best drivers in all of the United States. The internet insurance comparison service reached that conclusion after analyzing "millions of insurance quotes from drivers in the top 75 cities in the country."

Sorry Quotewizard, I’m going to have to call b.s. on your voodoo science.

I’m out there every day and most days El Paso drivers make me want to punch a baby. Of course, I never would, I mean, babies are adorable and all that, but that’s how frustrated driving on the mean streets of El Paso can make me feel.

Like the other day, I saw a girl reading her texts while driving down Mesa at 40 m.p.h. Can you believe that? She barely looked up once in half-a-block. I got so mad I put down the delicious burrito I was eating, stopped fiddling with my car radio, manually rolled down my window, and yelled at her.

Horrible drivers here, I tell you.

Not you or me, of course, we're great drivers, but everyone else on the road? Morons who think they’re in a The Fast and the Furious movie or a live-action Grand Theft Auto video game.

It's so bad out there, some days I have to forego driving altogether just to give my middle finger some much needed rest.
