League spokesman Randall Liu confirmed the review on Monday in an email to The Associated Press.

Suh, a Detroit defensive tackle, was called for an illegal low block against Minnesota center John Sullivan during an interception return Sunday. The Lions won the game 34-24.

Suh said he wasn't going after Sullivan's knees, adding the two spoke about it at halftime. Sullivan said the hit was part of the game and it was penalized.

The NFL fined Suh $30,000 last year for unnecessary roughness because he kicked Houston quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin area. He was suspended for two games in 2011 after he stomped on Green Bay's Evan Dietrich-Smith.
