Matthew McConaughey just exudes "Texas," and now the Dazed and Confused actor is lending his celebrity towards a good cause yet again.

Before the pandemic, the actor was one of the surprise guests at Khalid’s A Night for Suncity, a benefit concert In support of Khalid's hometown of El Paso and in response to the tragic mass shooting that took place on August 3, 2019.

And then, when the pandemic hit, he and his wife hit the road helping to supply and deliver thousands of facemasks for healthcare workers and first responders to Texas communities, including El Paso. So, it’s no surprise that the possible future gubernatorial candidate has now put this all-star We’re Texas Benefit Concert together.

The Texas native and Academy-Award-winning actor along with his wife, Camila Alves McConaughey, have organized a free virtual concert to benefit those affected by Winter Storm Uri via the keep livin Foundation Texas Relief Fund.

In the weeks since the historic storm, McConaughey started a fund through his nonprofit, the Just Keep Livin Foundation, to direct money and aid to communities throughout the state. The arctic cold snap left thousands of Texans without heat, water, electricity, and broken water lines. Even though most of the state has thawed, many Texans are still struggling daily without access to clean water, food, and other necessities.
