KTSM Anchor Shows Up On Thursday Night Football
Do you ever have a moment when you see someone on TV and think that you know them?! I just had that moment.
During another touchdown-less Thursday Night Football game, a familiar face showed up on my screen.
It was KTSM news anchor Andy Morgan! Andy has been a staple in the El Paso community for years, just recently making the transition from the sports desk to the news desk. Born and raised in Colorado - Andy is an Emmy Award-Winning Evening Anchor at KTSM 9 News. This was the tweet that showed up FULL SCREEN during the Amazon Prime halftime show.
Some context, it's Week 6 TNF and the Washington Commanders are taking on the Chicago Bears. The two teams are combined 3-7 on the year. It was 3-0 at halftime and the last touchdown we've seen on a Thursday night was Week 4.
Check out some of the replies to his new found fame...
According to KTSM, Andy is an outdoor enthusiast. From hiking and biking to ski and golf, he’s a sucker for a weekend getaway in the mountains. Andy grew up an avid Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche fan. He would routinely broadcast the morning announcements in elementary school wearing a John Elway jersey.
Way to represent 915, Andy! Real question though... will we? Ever? See another Thursday Night Football touchdown...?
Looks like his tweet may have worked because the Bears finally scored a touchdown in the 3rd quarter to snap the streak!
In the words of my 6-year-old: "This is the boringest game ever."
