This sounds like something from a movie. Two brothers in Texas filmed an overpass collapsing just as they were driving under it.

This is straight out of a "Final Destination" movie. Two guys in Tulia, Texas ... I never heard of it either, it's near Amarillo ... were driving along I-27 when they saw a semi had struck an overpass.

One of them started to record the scene as they passed and got a lot more than just video of a wrecked truck.

According to KHOU, the Texas Department of Public Safety said a semi carrying a crane damaged the overpass when the crane's ark hit it. The driver of the semi was injured but not badly.

The brothers lucked out and were able to scoot under the overpass without a chunk of it landing on them.

Even if a bridge doesn't get hit by a semi or something else, the odds of one falling in Texas are a little up there according to wbay.com. If you want to totally geek out on bridge data, click here.

Are Texas Bridges Safe?

A national study of bridges in the United States of America generated some scary stats, finding that 10.8% of all the bridges in the USA are in bad shape.

Four states have less than 5% of their bridges in poor condition, led by Texas — which has the 26th-highest number of poor-condition bridges, but more than twice as many total bridges as any other state. - wbay
