I really need to start paying more attention to restaurant menus.

While I was focused on Logan's Roadhouse rolls, steaks and loaded baked potatoes, the chain quietly added THC cocktails to its menu. Somehow, these drinks have been available in El Paso for months and I'm only just finding out!

So naturally, my first question was: How did I miss this memo?

Logan's Roadhouse Has Been Serving THC Cocktails In El Paso

This week, Logan's Roadhouse shared an invite for a THC cocktail tasting event held Monday at its El Paso location.

That's when I learned these aren't brand new.

El Paso is one of several Texas markets participating in the chain's THC cocktail test, and the drinks have reportedly been on menus for months. Monday's event simply put a spotlight on something many of us may have completely overlooked.

I can't believe this is how I found out.

Why THC Cocktails Are Becoming More Common In Texas

If it feels like THC beverages are suddenly everywhere, that's because they kind of are.

Thanks to federal hemp regulations, low-dose hemp-derived THC drinks have become one of the fastest-growing trends in the beverage industry. You'll now find THC seltzers, canned drinks and even cocktails popping up across Texas.

Some people see them as an alternative to alcohol. Others are just curious to try something new.

Either way, they're becoming a lot more common than they were a few years ago.

What THC Cocktails Are On The Logan's Roadhouse Menu

The test menu includes three THC-infused cocktails, each containing five milligrams of hemp-derived THC.

There's Scarlet Haze, which features prickly pear flavors, Pineapple Express and High Tide, a tropical pineapple-and-coconut drink.

Customers must be 21 or older to order them, and purchases are limited to three drinks per visit.

El Paso Keeps Getting The Interesting Test Items

One thing I've noticed is that El Paso seems to end up on more test-market lists than people realize.

Sometimes it's a new menu item. Sometimes it's a limited-time flavor. This time, it's THC cocktails at Logan's Roadhouse.

Whether you're interested in trying one or not, you have to admit it's one of the more unexpected things to show up on a steakhouse menu. The biggest surprise, at least for me, is that they've apparently been here for months and I had absolutely no idea!
