Dolly Parton recently talked with KLAQ and gave some of the best advise any El Paso, Texas musician...really, any musician ANYWHERE...could get, "be true to yourself!"

Whether you're a wanna-be rock star, or someone who dreams of someday performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage, no matter your musical style, confidence is essential. Dolly said "you should be true to yourself in all things and that includes the way you dress." She's talking about "Dolly style," as described in her new book, "Behind the Seams, My Life in Rhinestones." It's the story of how she found a look that made her feel good, and owned it.

This is very similar to the advice Sir Elton John gave to Greta Van Fleet in 2017 at Elton John's Oscar Party. When Great Van Fleet played the Don Haskins Center in March their confidence through their flamboyant presentation radiated. From lead singer Josh Kiszka, to the Jake, Sam, and Danny, each mesmerized the audience throughout the magical evening.

Dolly also talked about whether or not this will be her only Rock album, her favorite performance, and the challenge with playing with such legendary rock stars. Click here for the full interview.

See Dolly Parton's Longtime Nashville Home

Dolly Parton and Carl Dean owned this 4,795 square-foot residence in Nashville from 1980 until 1996. While it's not the lavish mansion one might expect one of the biggest country stars of all time to have lived in, it's a beautiful home that's also a one-of-a-kind piece of country music history.

Built in 1941. the house features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and the wooded, 2.4-acre property also features a detached storage building. Amenities in the stucco home also include an eat-in kitchen, carport, covered porch and patio, deck, a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, a great room large enough for plenty of games and entertainment and dual heating and cooling units.
