Cooling Centers Available Around El Paso

With the Texas heat wave of 2023 continuing into the month of July, it's important to stay up to date on the cooling centers available around El Paso.

The triple-digit-temps can be quite a force to reckon with. Picture yourself walking out the door and feeling like you're stepping into an oven. That's Texas for you!

Not only that, but the heat is super dangerous. Dehydration becomes your worst enemy, as the scorching sun sucks out every last drop of moisture from your body faster than you can say "y'all."

Make sure to stay hydrated and guzzle water like it's going out of style. No one will judge you if you also pour it on your head.

Most importantly, after taking care of yourself, check on your loved ones.

The City of El Paso and the Office of Emergency Management have activated their cooling centers for the year, and here's all the information you need to know.

The following free cooling centers are available Sunday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Friday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

The community can also visit any of our City Public Libraries which are open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 6 p.m.:
