Actually, two El Paso neighbors made the list of New Mexico's best breakfast burritos; one in Las Cruces and one in Hatch.

The Albuquerque Journal came up with the list of awesome breakfast burritos and a couple of the places named are close enough for El Pasoans to visit regularly.

Las Cruces is a very short drive from El Paso and a trip to Hatch only takes about an hour.

Using Google reviews as their guide, the Albuquerque Journal came up with 6 places around the land of enchantment they feel make the best breakfast burritos. B & E Burritos, 303 North Franklin in Hatch, got 2nd place.

Just 40 miles or so from El Paso, La Nueva Casita Cafe in Las Cruces made the #3 spot. You'll find them at 195 North Mesquite, here's what their website says:

Established in 1957 and located in the Historic Mesquite District, along the original Camino Real Route, La Nueva Casita Cafe has become a staple of downtown Las Cruces. Take a drive along Main Street downtown, the original town-site of Las Cruces, then, come on in for a dining experience you're sure to remember.

New Mexico Beef Jerky in Albuquerque, The Branch Bistro in Los Lunas, (this one's also a bookstore), The Pantry in Santa Fe and Shotgun Willie's in Red River made up the rest of the Albuquerque Journal's six pack.

I haven't tried those so, I'm not sure if they're worth the drive or not. If you're visiting those cities anyway though, now you have somewhere to go.
