Houston Based Shipley Do-Nuts is a beloved Texas institution that has been delighting donut enthusiasts since its founding in 1936.

Established by Lawrence Shipley, Sr. in Houston, the brand quickly gained a reputation for its delectable, hand-crafted donuts.

What began as a single product line featuring the classic glazed donut has now expanded to offer over 60 varieties, including cake donuts, filled donuts, and kolaches, a savory pastry with roots in Czech cuisine.

So far in 2024, the company has opened six locations in Texas and Oklahoma.

Today, Shipley Do-Nuts boasts over 300 locations, with a strong presence not only in Texas but also in neighboring states and they announced recently that they have plans to rapidly expand not only in Texas but across the country like Buc-ee's.

According to a press release, the iconic Texas brand has 14 signed deals for 61 new locations throughout Texas thanks to an expanded development team which will be utilizing their previous experience at food chains Wingstop, Pizza Hut and HTeaO.

Shipley's Also Plans To Invade Several Other States.

In Q3 2023, for the first time in Shipley's 88-year history, the company opened territories for development in the Midwest, including Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri and Ohio. As the brand expands its national footprint, new locations in Colorado, Florida, Maryland and North Carolina are on track to open in 2024.
