We had a conversation a few weeks ago on SportsTalk about "bandwagon" or "front runner" fans in sports. There is no fan loyalty to teams anymore and a lot of callers that called in stated that they are more loyal to a specific player now rather than a team.

Case in point, last night's Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Everyone is talking about the game as an instant classic. That it was one of the best games in Finals history but Heat "fans" gave up on "their" team and left this incredible game early.

Are you kidding me? I am not going to talk about how much money these "fans" spent on the tickets but seriously, this was Game 6 of the NBA Finals!! I understand that you can't see the future and had no way of knowing what was going to happen but "fans" should stay to the end of the an elimination game regardless the outcome. Maybe it is just me but the players deserve at least that for their effort.

Am I wrong?

Enter these "fans" that are such die hard Miami Heat "fans" that they left Game 6 before Ray Allen's game tying shot, and then got frustrated that they could not get back in. Then they recorded it. Unbelievable.

I think from now on I am going to call people at games TICKET HOLDERS instead of "fans" because essentially, that is what people are now days.

UPDATE: In the minutes after this post went up, the "fans" took down their video. Shocking, right?
