Four El Paso-area teams entered action in the Area Round of the Texas High School Football Playoffs and three teams moved on to the Regional Round.  Let's take a look at how each team fared in there games.

Canutillo lead only 17-10 over San Angelo Lake View before the Eagles scored ten fourth quarter points to pull away 27-10.  Canutillo had 207 rushing yards and three touchdowns combined by Andrew Alarcon (13 carries, 97 yards, 1 TD), Javier Gomez (15 carries, 59 yards, 1 TD), and Ben Galaviz (5 carries, 51 yards, 1 TD).

Del Valle was led by 251 passing yards and 225 yards rushing by Steven Montez in the Conquistadores 38-17 victory over Amarillo Palo Duro.

Eastlake trailed Lubbock Cooper 14-11 entering the fourth quarter before the Falcons scored 21 unanswered points in the final quarter to advance into the Regional Round with a 32-14 win.

Canyon Randall pulled away from close 21-13 halftime lead to defeat Andress 49-33.

With their triumphs, the coaches and players of the Canutillo Eagles, Del Valle Conquistadores, and Eastlake Falcons will be away from their families for the Thanksgiving holiday as they will be on the road looking to advance past the Regional Round of the Texas High School Football Playoffs.
