Burges senior running back/defensive back Aaron Jones is a beast.  Jones first burst on the scene in last season's opener against Mountain View.  Jones quickly emerged as the Mustangs' top skill player.

Jones is off to another roaring start in 2012.  His season opener against Clint is the stuff of legends.  On just twelve carries, Jones ran for 315 yards and scored five of the Mustangs' six touchdowns.

In week two, Jones and the Mustangs faced the much tougher Americas Trailblazers.  The Trailblazers did a good job against Jones, but as a famous sportscaster once said "You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him."

Jones ended up with 140 yards on sixteen carries in Burges' 28-24 loss to Americas last Friday.  The bulk of Jones' yards came on an 80 yard touchdown scamper in the third quarter.

Burges will take on Cathedral this Friday before starting their district schedule against Chapin on September 21st
