Award season was in full force these past two weekends. The Oscars caused a commotion last Sunday and this Sunday was what I like to call my Super Bowl AKA The Grammys.

I’m a music lover and I’ve always dreamed of walking the red carpet to bump elbows with all of my favorite musicians. It’s a dream I still hold on to but for now, I’ll continue to watch the Grammys from the comfort of my own home, in my best Sunday outfit while sipping on whatever alcoholic drink is in my fridge.

However, one El Pasoan was lucky enough to have the opportunity to walk that Grammys red carpet this past Sunday and he shared photos of the night and I am here for it!

Roger Argenis is the founder of Sound Stage 9 Music School here in El Paso, Texas and he is also the guitarist for the local band SayVerse. Roger also runs his own management team: Argenis Management.

I first met Roger back when I was a piano instructor at Sound Stage 9 Music School and I have witnessed firsthand how much hard work and dedication Roger puts into his music and into the artists he manages so it was a pleasant surprise when I saw a familiar face on the TV screen while I was watching E! Live from The Red Carpet.

Roger was at this year’s Grammy Award show as a fellow Grammy nominee. One of the bands that he manages under his management company is The Lucky Band which is made up of a husband and wife duo, Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis. The Grammy and Emmy-award-winning duo plays bilingual indie music for kids and they were nominated this year for a Grammy for Best Children's Music Album for Their album, Crayon Kids, which Roger helped produce.

Despite not winning the Grammy, Roger still made sure to enjoy his night on the red carpet and I am low key jealous but also happy for Roger!

He snapped photos with familiar faces including Avril Lavigne, The Kid Laroi, Jared Leto, and more!

It’s always great to see El Pasoans spreading some love from the 915 in any Hollywood settings and I’m sure this won’t be the last time Roger gets to walk that red carpet!
