If you have kids and you want to kick off the holiday season a little early this year because last year was such a bummer, then take them to Bassett Place for their Wake Up Santa event. Last year the COVID numbers really put a damper on everything. There were not events like this for the kiddos and with the City getting San Jacinto Plaza all decked out for WinterFest and the Celebration of Lights happening on Saturday as well, you could make a whole day of Christmas fun for the whole family.

WAKING UP SANTA
Santa has been getting rested up for his Christmas Eve flight around the world so he'll need some help waking up and that's where your little beasties come in. After everyone wakes Santa up, he'll be available for photos with your kids and you'll get the chance to get that checked off your crazy to-do list for the holidays.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
In addition to Santa photos, the kids can have fun on the jumping balloons, there will be live music, face painting, games, prizes, and coloring stations. You and your family can also take selfies with a whole cast of Christmas characters so you can fill your Facebook and Instagram with tons of sweet pics of you and the family. It's also a great way to get those Christmas card photos taken care of so you can get them printed way ahead of time.
