El Paso Firefighter Victim Of Hit & Run – EPPD Asking For Help
The firefighter injured this morning was the victim of a hit and run and police are looking for the driver.
A firefighter with the El Paso Fire Department was injured this morning while responding to an accident on Trans Mountain. He was initially reported to have "serious injuries". More recent reports indicate his condition is stable but he remains in the Intensive Care Unit at University Medical Center.
Whoever struck the firefighter DID NOT STOP and the El Paso Police Department are asking for help in tracking that person down. All that is known at this time is that they're looking for a "pickup truck or SUV that may have windshield damage". (KFOX) The hit and run occurred at approximately 7 am this morning on Trans Mountain, westbound, near Resler.
