El Paso Fire Department Shares Photo of Random Act of Kindness By Local Paramedic
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted and that quote was proven to be true after one El Paso Fire Paramedic offered help to someone in need this past week.
The El Paso Fire Department shared a photo of the sweet moment that was caught in Downtown El Paso.
According to the post, Fire Paramedic Joseph Luna was on the scene of a fire when he noticed a man trying to cross the street.
Paramedic Luna quickly ran over to the man and offered his assistance. In the photo, you can see the man holding a support cane which is typically used for Visually Impaired and Blind People.
“These small details embody the true spirit of the fire department: to serve our community with pride,” read the post on the El Paso Fire Departments Facebook page.
The post received a lot of positive responses with one commenter writing, “Firefighters always helping people a Great job. Blessings.”
Margie Resendez witnessed this kind gesture herself. She commented on the photo stating that she was passing by when Paramedic Luna performed the random act of kindness.
“That's awesome that he is being recognized I witnessed this and thought the same thing. I was passing in my car when he was helping him. My car is the silver one in the background of this photo!”
Paramedic Luna may have thought that he was just doing his job when he offered this man some assistance, but these simple and kind gestures prove that there are still great people out there that do kind things, not for the attention, but to assure that our community is taken care of.
The Fire Department’s Facebook post went on to read;
“Every day, we strive to remind El Paso that they are not alone, the men and women of your El Paso Fire Department are always here to help.”
