Big Drop in Temperatures for El Paso at the End of the Week
Temperatures are going to plummet on Friday, November 4.
You might want to adjust your weekend plans ever so slightly as it appears a drop in temperatures is coming and the winds will be back.
Windy and Colder
According to the National Weather Service El Paso, the system that is headed our way will announce its arrival with strong winds and blowing dust late Thursday, with eastsiders and those who live in the Northeast getting the brunt of it.
The cold front will result in temperatures 15 degrees below normal on Friday, but will feel colder because of the wind chills. The anticipated high in El Paso Friday is 55.
Break out the puffy jacket, leggings, and knee-high boots!
Warming Up Saturday and Sunday
Temperatures will rebound quickly, per the NWSEP, remaining cool on Saturday with highs in the mid-60s, then climbing to the 70s on Sunday. Both Saturday and Sunday will be sunny.
Caldo Alert
Be that as it may, I’m still issuing a Caldo Alert for this weekend.
My recommendation as a non-qualified, high school educated radio guy who has had no training in the field of meteorology is to pull out the fuzzy socks and flannel pajamas because the nights will be cold, and make a determined effort to get to your favorite Mexican restaurant before they run out of caldo on Saturday and Sunday morning.
