Is Apple Developing Its Own Game TV And Game Console?

Apple is a jealous and vengeful god. Not simply content with owning your life with the iPhone, iMac and iPad, it’s aiming to wrestle the Xbox controller out of your hands and punch your PS3 in the balls.
Word on the web is that the topic of a meeting between Apple CEO Tim Cook and the brain trust of developer Valve was Apple’s new HDTV which might come with a game console. The device will rely on motion, voice controls and touchscreen tech.
Rumor has it that Valve will be involved, possibly piping its Steam gaming service into the console. If the rumor is true, the team-up could blur the line between PC and console gaming, giving Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft a beast of a competitor to deal with.
The TV/console will reportedly hit stores this year, but the team-up stuff is just speculation.
