Americas 49, El Dorado 20: Washington Blazes Aztecs [VIDEO]

Isak Washington is proving to be a very special athlete. Check out some of his highlights from Washington's and America's big win last weekend, courtesy of TWC Sports Channel. Washington rushed for 281 yards, had three touchdowns and helped put the Trailblazers one win away from the school's first-ever district championship. Playing Socorro Friday, most are assuming it's only a question of how many other schools join them atop District 1-5A. Montwood plays Eastwood while El Dorado will try to top Franklin and earn a better seeding in the big school Class 5A playoffs. That game will be replayed on TWC Sports Channel (ch. 24) Sunday at noon MST. The Blazers have the tie-breaker over Montwood courtesy of their first-ever win over the Rams -- also a first for any Socorro ISD high school over Montwood, which has had the run of the roost in East El Paso since it began playing varsity football 20 years ago.
