A League of Our Own: There’s Still Time to Join!

Welcome to the first annual 600 ESPN El Paso Women’s Fantasy Football League!

It’s a "League of our Own" and it's not too late to join! Ladies, there are still a few spots available but they are filling up fast! This isn't your ordinary draft! This is one you won't regret you took part in! The prizes are awesome and will be revealed tomorrow. There's more than one winner! There will be a first, second and third place prize.

Even if you don't win, what you get out of this is more than something tangible, but the knowledge that comes with watching football, studying players, understanding stats and running your own team. You see Jerry Jones calling all the shots? Now it's your turn to take command of a team and make it what you want! It's your fantasy!

So in order to take a spot in this league, you have to be one of the 12 females that fit the guidelines to play.

It's simple and doesn't cost a thing. You must live in the El Paso/Las Cruces listening area in order to be eligible to play and/or claim prizes. If you are out of town during the draft this Labor Day, you can still participate in the online draft.

There are already eight spots taken! That means the first four females that meet the above guidelines and want in -- need to email me at crystal@krod.com. I need your name, contact info and creative team name! It's that simple!

The live draft party will take place at Hooter’s in El Paso this Labor Day Monday,
September 3, 2012 at 3 p.m. They will supply a draft party special with wings!
Make sure to bring your laptop or iPad! It is highly encouraged you attend this as you will receive a fantasy information packet which will be helpful for those new to the game or used to the game!

As the commissioner, I will also be here to answer your questions and will be blogging weekly on the the website and 600 ESPN El Paso Facebook page regarding tips, advice, player news, injuries, etc. This is important when it comes to your weekly lineup and who’s on your bench!
