If you're planning on going to the Plaza Classic Film Festival but you don't know what movies you can take the whole family to, here is a quick list of some really good family-friendly movies that will be shown during the festival. These movies are animated and live-action but all are guaranteed to be fun for the whole family. Depending on your kid's ages, they've probably seen them a million times on tv or a streaming service, but seeing them the way they were intended, on the big screen, will blow them away and it'll be like they are seeing them for the first time.

1. Beauty and the Beast - The story of Belle and her Beast is a tale as old as time (see what I did there?), but if your beasties have only seen it on your tv at home they will really be wowed by how amazing all their favorite song and dance routines look at the Plaza Theater. $6/person, Saturday, July 31, 2:00 p.m.

2. The Sound of Music - I adore this movie and even if your kids think it's hokey make them go anyway. It's Disney at it's finest and the escaping the Nazi scene will be even more heart stopping on the big screen. $8, Monday, August 2, 7:00 p.m.

3. Who Framed Roger Rabbit - I took my son to see this movie on the big screen when he was about 5 and there were parts that were a little intense, especially the shoe getting melted scene. Wait. You don't know about the shoe getting melted scene? They you have to see this movie on the big screen. $8, Thursday, August 5, 7:30 p.m.

4. Pinocchio - Another Disney classic. You can't go wrong with old-school Disney and even though you've probably streamed it on Disney+, watching Pinocchio come to life on the big screen is a whole nuther level of Disney magic. $8, Saturday, August 7, 7:00 p.m.

5. Star Wars - If your kiddos are Star Wars fans, show them how it all began. Getting the backstory to all their favorites and letting them shake their heads at what used to be considered state of the art moviemaking is worth the price of this ticket. $8, Sunday, August 8, 7:00 p.m.
