December 19, 2012 It took close to an extra half of play, but the Miners were able to get a crucial triple overtime win against the Oregon Ducks. UTEP remained poised throughout the contest, and despite being out rebounded, the Miners were able to pull away late in the third OT, defeating an exceptional Oregon team.

The Rose Bowl between #5 Oregon and #10 Wisconsin was expected to be a shootout, and the two teams lived up to the hype in the highest scoring Rose Bowl in history. Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas had just two carries, but made them count on touchdown runs of 91 and 64 yards and the Ducks scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to secure a 45-38 victory.
All-American cornerback Cliff Harris has been suspended indefinitely by the Oregon Ducks after a traffic stop Monday resulted in a variety of citations, including driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and failure to wear a seatbelt.

January 10, 2011 I'll be the first to admit, I prefer the NFL to college football. Mostly because college football fans annoy me, although the NFL has it's share of knucklehead fan bases (see Eagles, Philadelphia). However, I can get as charged up as any face-painting, beer guzzling college fan for a national championship game.
