UTEP Falls to #4 Oklahoma in a Close, Competitive Contest

Most people gave the Miners a slim chance to beat the 4th ranked Oklahoma Sooners at the Sun Bowl on Saturday night.  UTEP showed the country and the 40,137 in attendance that they could compete with one of the nation's elite college football teams.  Oklahoma won the game 24-7, but did not pull away until the 4th quarter by scoring 14 points.

UTEP 2012-2013 Basketball Schedule is Released

 

Last season was quite a challenge for the UTEP basketball team to say the least.  The squad, which  predominantly consisted of freshmen, finished the season under .500 with a record of 15-17.  UTEP made it to the Quarterfinal round of the C-USA Tournament before losing to Memphis.

It's official. Mike Price said he wanted a huge football game for the UTEP home opener and now he has it. The Miners released their 2012 football schedule, which opens up with the Oklahoma Sooners at the Sun Bowl.

Crazed Football Fans Injure Themselves Rushing the Field After Oklahoma Win [VIDEO]

Hordes of football enthusiasts took the title of crazed fans to a new level on Saturday. After #3 ranked Oklahoma State took care of #10 Oklahoma 44-10, thousands of fans rushed the field, tearing down goalposts, and leaving 13 people injured, including two in critical condition.
