The Oklahoma City RedHawks scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back in their 9-5 victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas Thursday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. El Paso starter Joe Wieland settled down after the nine-batter first inning, finishing his line with five earned runs allowed in five innings of work.

 

Jace Peterson went 2-for-5 atop the order for El Paso in his first game back from San Diego. Taylor Lindsey went 3-for-4 with three singles in the loss, his fourth three-hit game since being acquired by the Padres organization in late July. Yeison Asencio picked up an RBI single in the ninth inning and now has hits in nine of his ten Triple-A games.

 

Jeff Francoeur pitched for the Chihuahuas for the first time since June 10th. Francoeur allowed an unearned run Thursday and in his eight appearances, the first eight games on the mound in his professional career, he has a 3.68 ERA.
