The El Paso Chihuahuas have come back to beat Sacramento three games in a row after the River Cats scored first inning runs in all three contests. The Chihuahuas got past Sacramento 7-4 Sunday in front of a sellout crowd.

Entering the bottom of the sixth inning down 3-0, the Chihuahuas plated four runs on an RBI single by Tommy Medica and a three-run home run to center field by Kyle Blanks. Blanks is now second in the Pacific Coast League in home runs with nine, one shy of Oklahoma City’s Jonathan Singleton, the league leader. After Sacramento tied the game 4-4 in the top of the seventh, El Paso put together a five-hit rally in the bottom of the seventh, scoring three times on an RBI single by Rico Noel and a two-run single by Reymond Fuentes.

After struggling offensively in the previous series against Fresno, the Chihuahuas have combined for 27 runs and 38 hits over the last three games. The victory gave the Chihuahuas their second series win of the season and the first since April 7th-9th at Tacoma.

Sunday’s game was the sixth sellout in seven home openings for the Chihuahuas.

Kyle Blanks strikes again! This time, a go ahead 3 Run blast.

In the seventh, Reymond Fuentes plates two to help secure the Chihuahua victory.
