Games are heating up across the borderland as we roll into another edition of 600 ESPN El Paso Football Friday Night.

Listen in to 600 ESPN El Paso on air or online for full high school coverage, or click here for the full YMCA Game of the Week, called by Adrian Broaddus and Steve Escajeda, which will feature Chapin (1-2) and Parkland (2-0-1).

Chapin (1-2) at Parkland (2-0-1) YMCA Game of the Week

Chapin and Parkland will square off for the Battle of U.S. 54, as the two teams will face off in a highly anticipated matchup. Parkland has geared back up after their bizarre tie against Burges in week one, and has won back-to-back games. On the other hand, Chapin is looking for redemption from their 34-14 setback to Pebble Hills last week.

This game could also be the battle of the UTEP recruits, as the Miners have offered both Parkland's running back Deion Hankins and receiver Khatib Lyles, and Chapin's cornerback Will Williams and receiver Quintavius Workman.

Bowie (2-1) at Ysleta (3-0)

This should be an interesting one, as Ysleta has started the season red-hot at 3-0, while Bowie has clawed through a couple early games and is looking for a big game in this one. Expect Bowie running back Nathan Felix to have a big one in this game, as the Bears want to snap the Indians' winning streak tonight.

Canutillo (2-1) at Del Valle (1-1)

While Del Valle soars offensively, Canutillo's defense is its bread and butter. Del Valle's quarterback Raymond Montez and receiver Karch Gardiner have been quite a tandum this year, but Canutillo's cornerback Bryan Estrada and linebacker Esteban Tavera hope to shut the high-flying offense down.

Coronado (2-1) at Eastlake (2-1)

After Eastlake slipped away from a hungry Burges team, they face a Coronado team that is still seeking to find its identity on both sides of the ball. If this game turns into a special teams war, expect Coronado to squeak away with the win. But, if Eastlake's offense awakens, they could pull away big in this one.

Hanks (2-1) at El Paso (2-1)

Both Hanks and El Paso are coming off big wins last week, as Hanks beat out Fabens, 43-14, and El Paso came out victorious Bel Air, 35-21. This matchup can go down to the wire and will be interesting to see how it wraps up.

El Dorado (0-3) at Franklin (1-2)

Franklin is coming off a huge victory over Midland in West Texas, while El Dorado is still searching for their complete identity. Franklin's offense is starting to gel around running back Taj Crenshaw and receiver Gabe Stonewall. El Dorado needs a big night to upset the Cougars on homecoming night on the westside.

Socorro (0-3) at Burges (1-1-1)

Socorro's losing streak might extend into the 30's tonight as they take on a tough Burges team that loves to run the ball. Burges wants to bounce back after a late loss to Eastlake.

Pebble Hills (3-0) at San Angelo Central (2-1)

San Angelo Central is officially on upset alert, as Pebble Hills has been arguably one of the strongest teams across the city thus far. Central lost star-studded quarterback Maverick McIvor to an injury, so the Spartans have a chance to upset the tough Texas team in their home ground.
