As the acquisition period for the 2021 clausura season of the Liga BBVA MX league came to a close FC Juarez announced one final acquisition for this season. Pol Garcia a 25-year old center defender from Spain was acquired by the Bravos. Garcia was most recently playing in Belgium.

Garcia will join the Bravos as they resume play tonight when they face Puebla on the road in a match that is scheduled to kickoff at 6pm MST. This will be the first match for the Bravos in two weeks after a pause in play as they were supposed to host Tigres last Friday. However that match was postponed to Wednesday, April 14th due to Tigres participation in the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar over the last two weeks.

It will be interesting to see if the Bravos will be affected and out of rhythm tonight since they did not have a match last weekend. The Bravos will try and get their second win in a row and of the season tonight against a Puebla team who currently finds itself in 13th place in the standings table, on place below FC Juarez with 5 points on the season after 5 matches.

Over the course of this stoppage in play for the Bravos signed their final player for this 2021 clausura season. Center defender Pol Garcia signed with the team from the Borderland. Garcia matriculated from the FC Barcelona farm system and has spent a majority of his career playing in Italy prior to his move to Belgium.

Upon his arrival, Garcia commented the following in the press conference that was held to announce his arrival, “This is a drastic change in my career. I’ve been playing in Belgium for 3 years and I have been looking for a change. The interest that FC Juarez showed in me over a course of several weeks showed the confidence that they have in me. Their vision and goals as an institution convinced me to take this leap at this point in my career. It’s a big change, but I’m convinced it’s going to be a good one for my career. I can assure you that I’m not here on vacation. I’m here to work and be at the disposition of the head coach and my teammates while trying to be the best I can.”

Tonight’s match against Puebla will be nationally televised here in the United States on TUDN, DirecTV ch. 464, Spectrum ch. 444.
