Mexican Food Cook-Off 2013
The Mexican Food Cook-Off is back and bigger than ever!
Join us August 3rd and 4th at Cleveland Square Park Downtown to celebrate everything the Mexican culture has to offer! Come see a variety of restaurants and chefs compete for the best mexican food in El Paso in the following three categories: tacos, enchiladas, and open dish.
Plenty of street food vendors and food trucks will be on site this year with enough food to feed a nation! With twice as many food vendors as last year, it’s sure to satisfy your mexican food cravings. Enjoy food from Ely’s, Delicious Mexican Eatery, Takorexico, Grubb, Taquizas, Avilas, and more.
This isn’t just a food competition, it’s a fiesta! Coming back to the Mexican Food Cook-Off is the Folkclorico dance championships on Saturday, and a full line up of Mariachi bands will compete in the annual Rock N Roll Mariachi Competition on Sunday.
While you’re out there, make sure to enjoy a taste of all our food vendors have to offer. TFCU food coins will be sold for only $2.00 each. You can use these to purchase food, drinks, and ice cold beer from our vendors.
Admission to the grounds is only $3.00 per person (children 2 years and under are free), or you can enjoy both days of great food and entertainment with the two day ticket, only $5.00 at 7- Eleven Alon stores beginning July 15th. If you donate blood at any UBS location you will receive a free ticket to the cook off (while supplies last) thanks to El Paso Electric.
