CAIRO (AP) — Egypt will host the second leg of its World Cup playoff against Ghana at a military stadium in Cairo in November, the first time the national team will play in the violence-hit capital in two years.

The Egyptian Football Association said Wednesday that fans would be allowed in to the Nov. 19 game. The EFA says the decision was made after discussions among the association, sports minister and state authorities.

Egypt last played in Cairo in October 2011, months before a deadly riot at a club game in Port Said left more than 70 soccer fans dead amid the country's political turmoil.

Since then, Egypt has played in Alexandria and the Red Sea resort of El Gouna and largely without fans to avoid unrest.
