Courtney Nelson Says Goodbye to El Paso and 600 ESPN
Sadly, today is Courtney Nelson’s last day here at 600 ESPN El Paso. He’s moving on to other tasks (Mr. Mom) in another city. We wish Courtney all the best with everything he does, and we know he’ll be incredible at them!
Courtney joined us in the 80’s and hosted the incredibly popular morning show, Courtney and Big Al Mornings on KLAQ. They entertained us for years with some crazy stunts and funny shows before turning the reins of mornings over to Buzz.
Courtney then moved over to production for KLAQ and KROD for a few years, handling commercials and fun promotional stuff before taking over programming our newest station, 93.1 KISS-FM. He also hosted afternoons on KISS-FM for a long time, and it was great.
In 2003, Courtney took charge of running operations for all of our stations here in El Paso and has been instrumental in making everything as big and fun as we could make it for everyone.
Courtney is going to be greatly missed here, and Court, you are welcome to come back any time you want, even if it’s to just have a beer and hang out. Thanks for all your years here, your hard work, and everything you’ve done for everyone here!
You’re the best!
