El Paso’s Daniel Robertson went 4-for-5 with two home runs Friday but the Chihuahuas lost to the Albuquerque Isotopes, 10-6. The Isotopes swept the four game series and in the process handed the Chihuahuas their sixth loss in their last seven tries.

 

Albuquerque sent nine batters to the plate in a five-run first inning and at one point had four consecutive doubles, one shy of a Pacific Coast League record. The Isotopes scored nine runs against El Paso starter Branch Kloess in his 3.1 innings of work. Tim Sexton calmed the Isotopes in relief, allowing just one run in three innings of work.

 

After scoring just two runs in the previous two games combined, the Chihuahuas’ bats came alive, collecting six runs and 11 hits. Cameron Maybin and Brooks Conrad had two hits each for the Chihuahuas in the loss.
