Bears’ Tillman Injures Knee, Misses First Game Since 2009
CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago cornerback Charles Tillman is inactive for the Bears' game Thursday night against the New York Giants because of a right knee injury.
A two-time Pro Bowl pick, Tillman had not missed a game since the 2009 finale. He has been bothered by groin and knee problems in recent weeks, although the groin was not mentioned on the injury report leading up to this game.
Defensive tackle Stephen Paea sat out his second straight game because of turf toe on his left foot.
Giants halfback David Wilson and center David Baas missed the game because of neck injuries, while cornerback Corey Webster sat out his fourth in a row because of a groin problem. Wilson injured his neck against Philadelphia last week, and Baas sat out his third straight.
