There are some people in El Paso who will park at the rest stops on Transmountain to just relax or catch the sunset. I have lived in El Paso all my life and not once have I had the chance to see what other locals have been able to see.

It was only last year that I first learned about this popular goat in El Paso named Bob. But funny story all sorts of El Pasoans have different names for the dude.

Unfortunately for me, I have yet had my lucky chance of being able to see Bob the goat. I don't exactly commute through Transmountain but have stopped at the rest areas a few times.

But so many El Pasoans have been lucky enough to spot Bob the goat on the Franklin Mountains. For example, last year was when I first learned about the popular goat that roams the mountains.

Last year Pat Mckissack and Peggy Yrigoyen-Corral allowed me to share the photos they took with you. The photos they shared of Bob are quite cute and showcase Bob in all his glory.

Just recently an El Paso native Balderrama Ray shared some pictures he took of Bob. He was on his way home from Cloudcroft when he spotted Bob hanging around the mountain.

So of course, what other El Pasoans do, he too snapped some pictures of Bob. What amazes me is how up close and personal he got to Bob the goat.

I hope someday when I happen to stop along the area to enjoy the scenic views I can see Bob in person. But until then, I must rely on other people in El Paso and their lucky encounters with Bob the goat.
