Jon Lester of the Cubs pitched against the San Diego Padres yesterday at Wrigley Field, and snagged a hard ground ball in the second inning. But he couldn't throw it to first because the ball got stuck in the webbing of his glove. So instead of trying to run down the batter, he just threw the entire glove. It worked and he got the out. The Cubs ended up losing 5 to 2 and the Padres took the series.

So even though the Cubs lost, this awesome play by Lester will probably end up as one of the best plays of the 2015 MLB season.
